Emily Irene VanCamp was originally looking to become a dancer, but following a trip to her sister Katie's set for the show Ladies Room, she became more interested in acting. As she took acting classes as well, she also got the roles of guest stars on TV shows. She has appeared in many programs, including Are You Scared of the Dark? Radio Active and Dice. VanCamp's career took off after being cast in the role of Sam Dolan, a regular in the series WB Horror Mystery Glory Days. It was cancelled after 9 episodes and despite receiving positive ratings. In fact the May 12 1986-born actress was quick to secure another part on Everwood as a member of the principal actors Amy Abbott. The role resulted in her being nominated for a Young Artist Award nominee and for four Teen Choice Awards.
